5 Cubase tips from Nutty P

A little something from the Pirate blog. Grime MC and producer Nutty P shared a few tips for any Cubase users out there (some are relevant to other DAWs too). There’s some gems in here.

Any other tips you want to share? Let us know!

Nutty P’s setting up key commands is a great time saving trick! and lets face it if you’re paying for time the more of it you can save the better.

For time saving I’d add creating folder tracks for key elements i.e have a folder track for drums, a folder track for guitars, a folder track for keys and a folder track for vocals.

Having this set up means you use less real estate in your project window and then by collapsing or expanding the folder you can get to what you need to quickly.

Also you can edit accross multiple channels then if you wish to say copy all the keyboards of a chorus you can just set to batch edit that entire folder rather then editing each of the keyboard tracks individually saving you more time…oh yeah and money…sorry execs of Pirate
