I’ve always been inspired by the Detroit collective know as Scan7. And this mix draws from this inspiration.

It’s based around the idea of ‘techno with a groove’. I think techno is perhaps the most misunderstood dance music genre, especially with the rise of ‘business techno’ and the more aggressive, industrial warehouse style version currently popular in Berlin and much of Europe.

I, however, prefer my techno with a bit of groove, soul and that human touch. I call this ‘deep techno’.

Hopefully this mix showcases my love for ‘deep techno’

Been working to this for the past hour it’s great. And I personally love the more soulful melodic stuff sprinkled with a little mechanical energy (the mixing of Tambur - Traumer at the end )
