Recording through DJM Mixer in DJ Booths

Hi there, i am planning a trip to the Bristol Studio to record a mix and wondered if i could bring my Rolan Go:Mixer interface and plug into Master 2 on the DJM Mixer?

Hey mate! I’m pretty sure that would work, if you take out of the REC out on the DJM and route it into 2 inputs!

But pioneer have an app called “djm-rec” or something along those lines? It has a 30 day free trial and it allows you to use your phone to record mixes in a load of different formats just by plugging it into the USB in of the mixer. You can record as WAVs/AAC in different file sizes and you can even edit your set with a few basic features after. I haven’t personally tried it yet but i’ve only heard good things said about it.

pioneer mixers have internal soundcards in them so if your bringing your laptop you can connect direct into the USB slot using a USB B cable
You will need to grab the firmware here - https://www.pioneerdj.com/en/support/software/mixer/djm-900nxs2/
You then nominate a channel using the djm mixer app on the laptop and send output to that channel using the laptop selection on the mixer channel
Instruction manual which i found helpful is here
